Corsica Studios is an independent arts organisation that sets up and develops creative spaces in areas of regeneration. Over the last twelve years they have become a much-loved and respected club, live music and arts destination for discerning clubbers, artists, students and music lovers. They are home to many of the capital’s finest events, parties and club nights and constantly represent the best in leftfield and underground music and talent. In 2009 they were voted Best Small Club in the UK by DJ Magazine.
Their reputation has been built by establishing creative platforms for the arts in areas of regeneration deliberately utilising buildings that were standing empty and unused and placing a wide range of media activities within alternative spaces. Its founders, Adrian Jones and Amanda Moss, are firm advocates of the DIY ethic and began working together in 1997 after securing their first building in exchange for a single piece of art. Corsica Studios has evolved since that time to what it is today.
Corsica Studios is a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee and has both strong artistic and social aims. Through our partnerships, we work with local organisations, are active within the local community and are fully committed to realising our belief that art has an important role to play within the urban regeneration process.
